I have a few more questions to answer so I’ll take today to do that and get back to writing Natural Body Guru next week.

Q- Is aromatherapy used for the treatment of any specific illness or is it merely maintenance?

A- Aromatherapy can be used for addressing certain illnesses of the body. You can use it for relieving pain or caring for your skin. It may come as a surprise, but the largest organ in your body is your skin. Everything that touches your skin gets metabolized into your body, which causes specific endorphins to be produced and floods the body to either stimulate, relax, cause digestion improvements, be a diuretic, get rid of headaches and so on. All of these things are done through aromatherapy.

Q- How does aromatherapy work with cancer patients?

A- It offsets the toxic effects of the chemotherapy, including treating dry skin conditions.  The synthetic oils that you find in some boutiques do not work because they are not from a plant.

Q- Can essential oils be used to treat impotence?

A- Aromatherapy is being used to help men and women with impotence because the oils can reduce anxiety, and they can alleviate fatigue and affect moods. Someone who might be going through mood swings like with menopause might also find the essential oils beneficial.
