The olfactory glands interact with the brain and can identify over one trillion smells. When the nose inhales the aroma from essential oils, the olfactory glands interact with the hippocampus and amygdala, the parts of the brain responsible for emotions. It also sends neuropathic messages to the parts of the brain concerned with physiological processes such as regulation of stress and blood pressure, heart rate, motivation, learning and focus.

Losing weight and keeping it off is often a struggle because of the psychological and physical barriers we battle in our bodies and minds. Using essential oils together with your regular exercise and nutritional plan can help to ease the effects of slow metabolism, poor digestion, low energy, unhealthy cravings, low motivation and diet fatigue. Eliminating these symptoms or barriers could be just what you need to reach your weight loss goals. There are the some great essential oils for weight loss. This week we will be discussing some of those oils more in depth but first, I’m going to give you some essential oil recipes for weight loss to get you started.

You can make fat blaster massage oils by adding 30 drops of essential oil to 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil plus 10 drops of carrot oil. The almond oil and carrot oil should be blended before you add the essential oils. For today, I have the general fat blaster massage oils for weight loss.

GENERAL FAT BLASTER MASSAGE OILS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Formula 1

  • 8 drops grapefruit
  • 2 drops oregano
  • 10 drops rosemary
  • 10 drops cypress

Formula 2

  • 5 drops petitgrain
  • 10 drops lime
  • 5 drops juniper
  • 10 drops basil
