allergies

My husband has terrible allergies that flair up every time he cuts the grass and he really loves to do his own yard work. Allergies can come from all manner of irritants such as foods, dust, chemicals etc. When these substances invade the body, the defense mechanisms are triggered and you may get sneezes, hives or even respiratory arrest. Aromatherapists approach allergies with essential oils that are calming and soothing to relieve the overreaction to the irritant.

For my honey’s reaction to grass, I had him add one drop of oregano essential oil to a large cup of chamomile tea with honey and stir well and frequently. Later, I had him massage a mixture of 2 drops lavender and 2 drops chamomile essential oil diluted in a tablespoon of liquid shea oil onto his forehead, temples, sinuses, neck and chest. He stopped sneezing so much even before he used the massage oil. He went to bed and got a good night’s sleep and that always helps. The next day, he was feeling much better.
