We have often talked about the different ways to use essential oils but let me remind you that one way is through inhalation. The next time you have an upset tummy, try this essential oil blend in an inhaler. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much better you feel by simply taking deep breaths from your inhaler suffused with the essential oil blend below. If you don’t have bergamot mint, you can substitute a plain bergamot and peppermint blend.

Deep Breath/Calm Tummy Inhaler

  • 7 drops bergamot mint or a mix totaling 7 drops of bergamot and peppermint
  • 3 drops sweet orange
  • 5 drops lime

You can make this recipe your own by adjusting the drop count the way you want it by using the drop by drop blending technique below.

Just put a single drop of bergamot mint essential oil into a small bowl, then smell it. Now add a single drop of sweet orange and smell your blend again. Then add a drop of lime, smell the blend, and decide which essential oil you’d like more of. End with about 15 drops of essential oil total. When you like your blend, use the cotton wick of the inhaler to absorb the essential oils, and assemble your inhaler.
