People have been using grapefruit essential oil for centuries to help support both a healthy inflammation response and a healthy weight. It helps overcome sugar cravings and also hangover symptoms.  Seven Uses for Grapefruit Essential Oil

  1. Healthy weight management – add  2 drops to water, smoothies or a sparkling beverage.  When a craving strikes, massage the oil onto the chest and wrists.
  2. Food cravings – grapefruit oil has been proven to lower sugar cravings and help kick the sugar habit when inhaled.  Add a couple drops to a cotton ball with a little bit of coconut oil and rub it on your wrists, neck or chest. You can also inhale it directly from your bottle or using a nasal inhaler.
  3. Lymphatic health – grapefruit oil is a natural diuretic and lymphatic stimulant making it great for getting rid of excess water weight. It also rids the body of toxins and excess salt. Take 1 or 2 drops internally or massage it topically over the kidneys.
  4. Digestive health and detoxification – Use a homemade massage lotion with grapefruit and jojoba oil to rub over your stomach. This will increase blood to the digestive organs and help with detoxification. It also helps with digestion.
