Aromatherapy for Coughs

Author: Dr. Larita

Aromatherapy is excellent for treating coughs, whether they are dry coughs or coughs with mucus. The aromatherapy treatments recommended here are much more natural for you than over the counter cough syrups and prescription medications.

To treat a dry cough, mix 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 2 drops of lemon essential oil with 2 tablespoons of honey. Dilute 1 teaspoon of this mixture in 6 to 8 ounces of warm water and sip it slowly. Next, massage your back and chest with 3 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 2 drops of thyme essential oil diluted in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil. If you like the steam inhalation method, use 3 drops of lavender in a steaming hot bowl of water.

If you have a cough with mucus, use the same treatment but instead of the drink described above, mix the following essential oils: 2 drops of eucalyptus, 1 drop of thyme, and 1 drop of tea tree blended together and then use only 1 drop of this mixture in a tablespoon of honey. Dilute 1 teaspoon of the honey-essential oil mixture in 6 to 8 ounces of warm water and sip it slowly.

Do you want to have that an exceptional look on your skin? If your answer is yes, you’ve got to use moisturizers on your body at least twice in a day. Different skins type use different moisturizers. Therefore it’s vital for you to identify what kind of skin you have to be able to purchase the right moisturizer. Facial moisturizers are different from body moisturizers and both oily and dry faces need the moisturizers.

Applying Facial moisturizers every morning helps to keep your skin dehydrated throughout the day. Make sure to use it after cleansing your face with lukewarm or warm water and mild soap as hot water is harmful to your skin. Pat your face with a clean towel and rub the moisturizer before it’s too dry for easy absorption.

Facial moisturizer prevents your face from aging and getting wrinkled even in future. So ensure you reapply in the evening as well to restore your skin’s moisture. The cream that has SPF is good to be used during the day as it protects your skin from ultraviolet rays. Remember to use water-based lotions if you have oily skin and oil-based creams for dry surfaces. Moisturizers always keep your face glowing and healthy.
