Foot Care for Dancers

My feet often ache after an hour long Zumba session so I can imagine how a ballet dancer’s feet feel after a day of practice or a performance. Most of us don’t give our feet much thought but dancers and athletes (imagine runners!) have to take special care of their feet.

When your feet are extra tired, use a foot bath when your feet are extra tired by adding 3 drops of  essential oil and 1 tablespoon of Epsom salts to a bowl of warm water and soaking the feet for 10 minutes. Add some small stones (I use marbles) to the bottom of the rosemary and roll your feet over them to massage the reflex points. To prevent injury and keep feet flexible and limber, massage them as often as possible with one of the blends below.

Foot Conditioning Blend for Dancers

Blend these oils together and dilute 3-5 drops in a carrier oil.
